18 Months Old!!!

Well we've made it to 18 months old. Feels like a milestone of some sort. I sense big changes on the horizon (toddler bed? potty training?), but for right now, it's good to be here. Last month started with the convention (click here for pics), which we survived! Next year, hopefully, we will remember a headset (what IS the correct technological term these days; there must be an app for that) for the FM station to listen to the program while not in our seats (because let's face it, toddlers don't spend a whole heck of a lot of time in their seats) and a blanket for eating lunch outside! Actually though, Miss Elena LOVES pens and scribbling on anything with pens. This is good because it keeps her busy for a while, but can easily turn very, very bad when she writes on something she's not supposed to, so we're working on this. Lenny says we can never find a pen when we need one but somehow Elena can come up with one in any location, as much as we try to hide them!

So, what else is new? She has recently begun a love affair with the beach. I would say just in the last week or so she has started saying "Beeeeeeeee!!" every time we drive past the beach. (Click here for adorable Beach Girl pics.) She also has another new hobby - riding the bicycle with Grandpa. (Click here for that hilarious cuteness.) When in the mood, she folds her hands, bows her head, and even says "Amen" at the end of the prayer. She loves to run around and dance. I have a little video of her dancing to "So You Think You Can Dance" but can't for the life of me figure how to get it off my camera. I haven't given up yet, but I need to get this thing posted already!

HK appointment in upstate NY this coming Monday and 18 month check-up the week after that, so more updates ahead...

  1. Love the pics of your Dad with her on the bike. Made me miss you all a bunch. Maybe there is some way to get together in SC. Charleston is 1.5 hours from may fam. Hilton Head is 45 mins tops. Savannah is the same.

  3. Oh my goodness! I can't believe how fast the time is flying. Elena looks like such a cute big girl. I loved the pics of she and your dad. I found them quite hilarious too as well as adorably cute. There is nothing like the relationship between your kids and their grandparents...just beautiful.
