And We're Back...

Yes, I know I haven't posted in months.  The last post I was working on was a little slide show of Elena's second year (she turned 2 at the end of Jan.) and the thing would not upload for anything, so that was rather discouraging.  Plus I didn't even have a check-up to report on because the pediatrician canceled our appointment a couple times and then left his practice for a fellowship in Massachusetts.  Still in the process of finding another pediatrician.  Fun, fun.  So, let's just jump in to what's happening now.  Here's a few pics from this past weekend.  It rained almost all week last week so by Saturday we were itching to get out and about.  We went on one of our favorite walks by the water.  It was so still and quiet, misty grey and just lovely.
Here's a classic Elena face whenever we try to get a family pic.  I hope to have a decent family pic soon as I bought one of those Groupons for a session with a real photographer, but still have to schedule it.
Here's the Little Miss staring out to sea, so pensive for all of about two seconds.
Sunday we woke up to beautiful sunshine!  Finally!  We had a rather ambitious day plan and I'd say we were pretty successful.  After the meeting, home to change and eat, we headed off to Boston with Nonna and Paka for a fair they were having in Harvard Square.  My main motivation was a free Amy Correia show at 3 in the afternoon.  Um, yes please.  We got there just as they were setting up and Elena was sooo good for almost the whole thing.  Taking it all in...
 They rocked out.
After the music we found the little train ride, which I have no pictures of because I was on the train with her, and then we walked around some more and finally on our way back to the car, passed this...
Elena was pretty over stimulated at this point and she didn't notice it, so we didn't go in, but it was tempting.  THEN we headed for the Arnold Arboretum in another part of Boston in search of the lilacs.  But first - azaleas.  Lots and lots of azaleas.
And one very interesting drainage cover.
Finally - lilacs!

Poor Elena kept looking for the "park", which to her means swings and slides and such.  We finally got a smile out of her by a little sign near the exit.  And she also enjoyed these benches.
That's all for now.  Sorry for the picture overload, but it's been awhile!

  1. Aww thanks so much for the new post. It was a pleasant surprise. It looks and sounds like you had a beautiful day and outting on Sunday. I can't believe how fast Elena is growing up. You can tell she's her own little person. Thanks again!
