8 Weeks and Counting

Well, Baby Elena is now 8 weeks old. Hard to believe it. In some ways it feels like forever ago and in other ways it feels like yesterday. I finally made it to the breastfeeding support group at the hospital this week. It is every Thursday afternoon and is free and open to anyone. There were a few moms with 6 month old babies and then mostly newer moms, maybe 15 in total. There is also an RN/lactation consultant there to kind of run things and assist when needed, but she really encouraged the other moms to offer tips/advice to each other. One of the 6 month old moms said the first two months were really hard and after that is was much easier. That was encouraging because I can definitely say the last 8 weeks have not been easy, but we made it this far!
