Week 24

Ok so technically I think today is the beginning of Week 25, but I'll just do a quick recap of last week. I feel like my belly is definitely popping out, to the point where when I tried on the maternity dress from Old Navy for the wedding we went to last Friday, I said, "I am not ready for this." I looked huge. I haven't returned it yet because we have our Circuit Assembly next month, so I might still wear it for that.

For the wedding, I wore a non-maternity dress that I've had for a while but only wear on special occasions and that worked out pretty well. It is a knee length dress and because it now had to go over my belly, it was a little shorter, especially when i sat down, but the weather was also cold and rainy, so I kept my raincoat on in the Hall for the ceremony and then I brought a wrap with me to the reception place. My mom took some pictures so I'll see if I can upload one.

My only other issue was that the ceremony was at 2 (actually started around 2:30) and the reception didn't start until 6. The invitations said Hors d'ouevres at 6, dinner served at 7. So we went home in between and I decided to just have a yogurt. Well the hors d'ouevres were few and far between and the dinner was not served until after 8, so I was starving! By the time we had cake (which was served with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream, by the way) I think it was at least 10 o'clock. We left shortly after that, but it was a beautiful wedding, and they seemed very happy.

I have my next visit with the CNM this afternoon, so we'll see if I have more news to report...

  1. any news? any news? That baby had better be positioned properly this time so you can finally find out if it is a boy or girl. The suspense is killing me, so i can only imagine how you must be feeling!

  2. Yeah yeah yeah... Jadian you're funny. I was just about to say the same thing! I love hearing about the maternity clothes stories. Brings back memories... I spent way too much on maternity clothes b/c I just wanted to be SUPER comfortable all the time. Enjoy it...it's the one time it's okay to have a "belly"! LOL

  3. Target has cute maternity clothes. At least, I think they do. Can't wait to hear whether you are carrying a senor or a senorita.
